Såå bare det å trykke på linken til denne vingen krever litt mot. Eller vilje til å gå på en smell. Aluula er som high modulus carbon. Har du først åpnet opp fritidsbudsjettet for å ta ut alt som er mulig å oppnå uten at utstyret hindrer deg er det vanskelig å slutte. Og det er jo heller ingen grunn til det. Vi har hørt om folk som bruker mer penger på helt kjedelige ting som bare er der.

Ventis i Aluula er toppen av ytelse og komfort når det er lite vind. Ken som er retningsgivende for alt vi har fått av vinger begynner å bli litt gammel. Så han mangler evnen til å pumpe seg opp på foil som en duracell fjortis. Så Ventis er typisk for oss om tenker at å seile handler mest om å komme seg opp og fly med minst mulig innsats, og når vi først er i flight så skal vingen fly så lett som mulig.

Her er data fra en typisk søndagstur når det blåser for lite for alt annet ustyr. Tryggheten i å ha masse start power gjør at jeg tør å svinge ut i fjorden selv om vinden svinger fra 2 til 6 m/s. Jeg veier 88kg for tiden (ja ja, jeg skal seile bort et par kilo bare det blir litt mindre å gjøre i Sjappa), og med neste vingestørrelse som er 6.5 Slick for meg er det 8m2 i Ventis som er perfekt. Vingespennet er omtrent det samme. Veier du under 80 tipper jeg 7m2 blir optimalt i kombo med en ca 5.5, men se det i forhold til den største freeride vingen du har.

Konklusjonen etter å ha brukt denne nye generasjonen lettvinds vinger er at grensene for hva som er mulig uten ekstrem pumpeinnsats fra kroppen mellom foil og vinge flyttes videre nedover.

Det er helt nydelig å ri døsige dønninger i 3-4 ms. Det er deilig å bare dra til seg vingen et par ganger og vipps så flyr du. Vingespennet er ikke større enn på en vanlig ca 6m2.
