Hvis du derimot har litt sørlandsblod i årene, og vil at man skal grunne litt over og under når livet potensielt kan ta en helt ny retning, kan vi godt gjøre det også. Alle vet jo at det er viktig med utfordringer hvis kroppen skal bli yngre mens hjernen blir smartere.
Parawinging kommer fra ikke fra den Brasilianske Paranøtten, men de har mye til felles. Det skal litt til for å knekke skallet før indrefileten forfører deg. Parawinging kan bære deg ut til starten på bølgesurfturen og pakkes bort på kroppen. Den er litt for stor til å pakkes inni så enten holder du den i hånda, eller du stapper den inn i en sekk etter take-off. Da får du fri utsikt til bølgene rundt deg og det er deilig det.
Men det er ikke den enkleste måten å ri medvinds på bølger, det er fremdeles med vinge, eller Foil Drive. Så dette er ikke for nybegynnere. Du bør være god til å vinge og pumpe på foil før start. Da kan imidlertid dette være verktøyet som tar deg til neste "high", i foilingens vidunderlige verden. Vi gleder oss til å komme gang, og kan gi mye mer balansert informasjon om noen uker.

The single-skin design with double-skin tips comes with a strong focus on stable flight and depower, making the STASH functional in a bigger range of winds and riding angles, while still having the lightest and smallest packing in mind for those seeking the pure sensation of gliding for miles. The STASH has been fine-tuned over several months by our wing and kite designer Ken Winner in strong collaboration with our Downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer – making sure it’s not just an engine to get on foil but tackles the difficulties to make the end-goal of ultimate free-flight accessible to a broader audience. Using special ultra-light 30g paragliding ripstop canopy, which flies earlier and stays in the air longer, packs down smaller and dampens gusts better for greater riding comfort, our team steered away from classic kite and wing ripstop canopy materials quickly. Sourcing thinner bridle lines to reduce drag and weight, and to further optimize packing was another key step in our Parawing-specific design. A powerful and easy to pack single skin approach with closed-cell tips allowed our design team to achieve a gradual de-power through a simple move of your wrist, while the tips stay filled and in control at any time. The stabilized leading edge and the reduced ribs further optimize flying stability, drag and easy stashing. Packing, sorting and re-launch of the STASH is made easy though three differently colored bridle sections, a colored mid-section of the leading edge, so you know where to grab for re-launch, and a color on the ergonomic Carbon bar showing you which side to steer forward – all steps towards making the goal of free flight more approachable. Ultimately, it’s about the sensation of True Foiling when your Parawing is nicely stashed away.

DUOTONE History We were there when the first kites were seen riding downwind from Ho’okipa to Kanaha. We got dragged over the beaches of Maui, the Baltic Sea or Tarifa, we tried directionals and twin tips, we experimented with two, four or five lines and we developed C-shapes, Delta-shapes and safety bars. Whatever comes to your mind regarding kitesurfing evolution in the past 20 years - we took part in it. Innovation There is not a single day without one of our engineers or team riders on the water testing new products. We call ourselves fortunate to have a team which yearns to push the sport to the next level. From the early days until today we did experience an incredible progression and yet there is no end in sight. And this is what creates the excitement. Our R&D team does not respond to trends!
